TWO FROM ASTROTURF RECEIVE CERTIFIED FIELD BUILDER DESIGNATION

(DALTON, Georgia) - In an ongoing commitment to provide the best sports fields in the world, two AstroTurf® construction managers have attained the designation of Certified Field Builder.

John McSweeney, Director of Construction in the Midwest Region, and Craig Shonk, Director of Construction in the Central Region, earned the designation from the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA) for passing a comprehensive exam on field building and maintenance and fulfilling prescribed standards of experience through a high level of experience in field construction.

The designation was created by the ASBA to help raise standards of field construction.

McSweeney joined AstroTurf® in April 2009. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Lawrence Technological University. McSweeney has over 20 years experience in all aspects of the construction industry and lives in Trenton, Michigan.

Shonk has been with AstroTurf® since July 2008. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Central Missouri State University. He brings over 15 years of general contracting and construction management experience and lives in Grain Valley, Missouri.
